Ceiling Mount and POE adapter Eero Pro 6
Has anyone found a ceiling mount for the pro 6 or POE adapter? If not, does anyone know if they are coming soon? We had our new house wired for AP's, and I would love to be able to use the system the way we planned.

Hello pinky75 ,
Currently, eero has no plans to implement PoE for the eero 6 line of eeros. PoE does not provide enough power for eero 6 units. You can review their power requirements on the link below.

Yes, PoE doesn't have enough power for the eero Pro 6, not even enough for eero Pro, BUT PoE+ does, and I have the eero Pro 6 working with using PoE+ injector and PoE+ splitter. Now eero please stop making excuses and make an official PoE+ Splitter, and also while you're at it a wall mount for them as the third party ones look just awful.

Any news about existing eero PoE adapters working with the new eeros? Maybe just a replacement cover could be purchased?

This is simply not true. We mainly use Ruckus for our networking needs, but also offer Eero pro to residential clients who do not want to spend "Ruckus money" for their home network. There are plenty of network switches that can provide 30-60W of power per channel, as well as 60W POE injectors. I would use Eero more if the Pro6 model with a POE bracket was an option.
I do not like using Eero's wirelessly if I can avoid it. We use a separate router and either a powerful POE switch, or injectors and hard wire all of our Eero's using this POE bracket. We then put them in bridge mode and let the separate router handle DHCP, and it works amazingly well.

I use the eero Pro 6 connected to a switch as the router, I don't use bridge mode unless absolutely no other way.

I use the eero Pro Gen 2 PoE+ splitter with a 3rd party PoE+ injector to run the eero Pro 6 off of POE, been working good for me so far

It's more of a workaround, as I would like eero to make a dedicated PoE+ splitter/injector set so I don't have to waste the wall mounts as they're useless to me, they also need to make a wall/ceiling mount for the eero Pro 6, having said that I used the eero Pro wall mount/splitter set, wired with Cat5 or Cat6, both have worked for me. I attached an official list from eero of suggested switches and injectors.

Good morning. I apologize for intruding on this thread. I’m not a tech professional and was referred here eero for help…. I recently moved into a new home that has been pre wired with 3 WAP point boxes in the ceiling with cat 6 cables in the living room, back lanai and upstairs. Every room in the house has the tv wired with cat 6 cables. Everything leads to the master closet where there is a rack with a switch ( I think it’s called a switch) with 24 cables plugged in and the unversed 1000mbs AT&T modem /wireless router. I guess what I’m asking is from the pros on this thread, what do I need specifically to mesh my house with the eero pro 6 attached to the ceiling and using POE, POE+ or POE++. What do I specifically need brand of what I need and where to purchase? Injectors I’d necessary? Thank you for any help

Interesting thread, I am not an Eero professional, but am an IT professional. My home network is driven by DLink POE+ switches (DSG-1100) which deliver up to 30w of power over ethernet per port with a total budget of 64-128 depending on ports. I am replacing my TP Link 1Gb WAPs with EERO Pro 6, but I hate the huge hockey puck power adapter as my home is wired for POE. Trying to figure out a power play, looking at the Texas splitters amongst others.
What I am understanding is that the Eero pro 6 can be powered by POE+ because it uses variable power consumption based upon demand, but will not get the max wattage to be full capacity because a POE+ 30w will not deliver the 27.5 or so needed for an Eero to be fully capable of broadcasting and receiving at distance or with many devices.
I think I will test this, the Eero pro 6 comes with many analysis tools. Will POE+ limit range, or capacity or throughput. Range is my guess, will order a 1Gb/POE+ splitter and test it.

Update, have also ordered a Netgear MS108EUP managed switch with 4 Ultra60 60w POE++ ports capable of powering my 4 IP cameras and 3 Eero Pro 6 APs. That's easy, but wow, okay, it is the receptacle as mentioned in earlier posts, looking at ugly Ultra60 splitters to split POE++ into USB-C. This meets the Eero Pro 6 power requirements but is a ceiling and wall mess. Still, this is better than paying an electrician to run 110v power, create an outlet in concrete and stone walls and run a EERO puck. YMMV, remember, I'm an amateur.
