Eero Pro 6 Gateway issue

I recently went from running a Netgear upstairs and Eero pro downstairs to adding Pro 6 upstairs and just going for one SSID.  When I attempted to "replace" the gateway this morning with the new Pro 6, I got the connected no internet message and the red light on the new puck.  I followed the instructions again several times with the same result..I then, removed all the devices and essentially started over, getting the eventual same end result.  When I plug the old netgear in and then the new Pro 6 into it, I get what I want from the system..My question/issue is what am I missing.  Why would the new puck(s) not see the internet ? I did also plug in the old pro gateway and it worked exactly like it should even after hard resets and new setups..

TIA

  • Just to make this simpler, go ahead and do another reset and start over with everything (reset both eero’s so they are blinking blue).

    1. Unplug the power for your internet modem for at least 30 seconds.

    2. Power back on your internet modem and wait for it to finish booting up (this can take a minute or two)

    3. Connect your first eero (this will be the gateway eero) to your modem and then power it on. It should successfully connect and you should be able to proceed with the setup process through the eero app.

    4. Setup your 2nd eero downstairs.

    5. Do a happy dance!

If that doesn’t work, reach out to eero support so they can help you troubleshot and resolve the issue.

    • cMoo92 Unplugged everything just now and let it sit for 15 minutes...Plugged in WAN, gave modem power, watched for solid greens gave Eero power, white to red eventually, WiFi, no internet...Unplugged Pro 6, plugged in old Pro, good to go...Something in the new Pro 6 is not routing correctly or not recognizing my ISP correctly..My next step is to reach out to them and see if they can release my IP and give me a new one..
