Orbit B-hyve wifi irrigation controller will not connect

I need my irrigation controller made by Orbit, model #57950 to connect to my eero mesh or base unit. Orbit telling me it cannot see the network. I have tried setting eero to 2.4Ghz, and no luck. I have tried setting eero to "legacy mode" and still the Orbit Irrigation controller does not see the network.  Please help! I really enjoy everything about the eero system except for this one, but critical issue!!!
