  • Hi  John

Welcome to the eero community and thanks for your question! We don't have an official way or recommendation for mounting an eero. However, it should be said that if you do look for solutions, please avoid using anything with metal.

You might also be able to find some useful tips at this reddit thread.

  • Jeff C. last I heard on wall mounting the semi-official Eero answer was that it wasn't recommended and would ruin the antenna geometry and decrease the horizontal coverage.  Is that no longer the case?

  • Thanks for reaching out,  budkow

While it isn't the ideal use case, if someone wishes to wall mount their eeros, they can. They will still work, as the antennas are omnidirectional.

However, eeros are best used when they are placed horizontally on a flat surface.

Jeff C. I purchased one of the units mentioned by miniz98  Just because of the configuration of the space and the placement of AC outlets, I've currently got the eero for the back part of the apartment on a window ledge in the corner of the sun room. I'm trying to get it a) a little bit closer to the hallway, and b) off of that surface in case that window ever leaks and funnels water onto that surface. My thought was to move it onto the ceiling a little closer to the centre of the room, upside down, to address both of those placement issues (it also serves the backyard outside the window one floor below). Can you see any issue with that placement and is it OK that it will be upside down? Thanks
