Feature Request: Port Forwarding Range

I would like to be able to port forward a range of ports. Right now they have to be input individualy. ie: In order to open port 1000 to 1100 it has to be input 100 times.

    Returning my Eero. I honestly couldn’t even conceptualize this not being a feature. I mean, this even existed on the Airport Express.

    It’s clear Eero doesn’t care about the gamers of their customer base.

    C'mon eero, everyone else does this? Why should I have to call support to do something this simple? Because of the "intelligence" of the eero firmware, my VoIP adapter has stopped working, and I need to forward a couple hundred ports.

    This can't be uncommon...going to stop using the eero until this is implemented. The Asus ZenWiFi AX works well for me for things like this...I'd recommend it to other eero customers that don't find this acceptable.

      txgunlover Top of this feature request is from 4 years ago, and it's still "Under consideration".

      The other thing that the eero could do would be to ask me if I'm using a particular device (by name and MAC Address) before it shuts down the ports it uses...but that's not even on their radar, I'm sure. I've got about a week or less, before the eero shuts down my VoIP adapter again. Don't think that eero's going to make that deadline for adding port ranges.

      Being an elderly person, I've learned that patience is valuable for things that I control. For things out of my control, it's futile. I'll be switching out the eero today...not into playing the "sure wish my eero could..." game at the moment.

      Actually, no time like the present...be having big fun switching meshes *smile*.

      txgunlover Just did. On the ZenWiFi AX now. Working well *smile*. By the way, the last line of my posting indicated that I was switching right after posting that reply.

    Maybe the port forwarding is done by a human on their end. So doing a range via app means they need to employ more staff. Who knows. 🙃

      balupton I wish them well on their efforts to promote full employment. Like I said, the eero firmware worked hard to shut down my VoIP adapter. And I really don't want to have to wait in line and spend time on the phone with eero (or anyone else I've bought a product from) periodically to remedy a bug in a product that I've bought.

      The ZenWiFi AX is working really well, and my VoIP adapter just keeps on working with it. Very little attention needed from me...however, if I do need to monitor my home network I have a tool set now. But that's a whole other feature request *smile*. Or two.

    I wonder whether or not using a UPnP port mapper software could work. Eero's support UPnP so theoretically, one can use a UPnP port mapper software to add the ranges using it.

    I'm still running behind of Double NAT, so I can't test this idea. My hopes for this feature are for when I can do without Double NAT.

    Well now, eero. I see that port forwarding ranges has just been added to the iOS eero app. Not convinced yet, since the first thing that happened was I went from 4 lights on my VoIP adapter to 3, signifying that one of the two available extensions has already been blocked.

    Glad to see it, but time will tell if it actually works :-).

      MrDoh I see that enabling the dreaded UPnP remedies the problem with my VoIP adapter, both extension lights are on again. So I have to question whether the port forwarding range thing is actually working, since I'm not leaving UPnP on. I guess that this has moved from a feature request to a bug report real quickly now :-).

    Any update eero?  If you're never going to support this, just say so, so we can acquire devices that have this functionality if we need it.

      jturincs Support has been added to the mobile app for port forwarding ranges. Just look around :-).
