Eero possibly restricting my MBPS throughout my home?
I have been utilizing 3 Eero system for about a year with strong performance. Within the past month, though, my mbps has dropped to 55 on ALL my wired devices and less on wireless. My speed test with the EERO app shows 177 mbps download. All cat6 in my home, and i run a cat6 from the main eero to a Netgear GS108Ev3 switch to connect my other 2 eero routers (main floor and 2nd floor locations) and my 2 other hardwired fire sticks. Has anyone here had a similar dropoff? I am a comcast 150mbps package subscriber (line checked out fine). Thanks if any tips!
Disconnect everything from your gateway eero, and unplug the power on your other eeros. Then do a speed test on your wireless devices. If your speeds are still slow, then swap out your gateway eero with one of the leaf eeros. Otherwise if the speed is fine, then start adding stuff back in one piece at a time until you can possibly identify what is causing the issue.
My strongest suspicion is the switch or something wired into it is causing the problem.Reply
