Can I use emoji characters in my network name?

Using emoji as part of an SSID is something we are looking at.

Really wish I could make my SSID 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮. Apple Airports can do it, why can't Eero?

This is a feature I didn't realize I wanted until now.

Any update on this? Apple and Google support this. And reports are that it works fine with iPhones, Androids, Xboxes, etc.

It may not be the most important feature but it's fun and should be easy to implement.

We don't have an update on this, but it is something we are continuing to look at.

It's been 6 month since the last update, are you guys still "continuing to look at" it. The topic is over a year old and this is something that would take 10 minutes to implement.

Just allow the emoji's and if your so worried about it add a disclamer/warning message that pops up and says something about the use of emoji's may not be compatible with all wifi devices.

Other wifi router/AP manufacturers have allowed this for a long time.
